04 / ASSETS & HANDOVER
Asset handover checklist.
Make a concrete list of what a handover could include. Keep ownership, proposed inclusions and unresolved transfer restrictions visible from the beginning.
Use the free tool ↓A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT
An asset list is the start of a transfer check.
Domains, code, content, designs, physical inventory, accounts and commercial relationships may all need different treatment. Record the current holder and what you know about restrictions. A service account being used by the business does not by itself mean it can be transferred. Reference the relevant agreement or platform policy in your evidence index.
HOW TO USE THIS TOOL
- Add each asset or coherent group of assets and identify its type and holder.
- Choose Included, Excluded, Transfer restricted or Needs review. These are your own labels, not verified rights.
- Note open questions and export the inventory as CSV, or include it in a printable preparation record.
Confirm ownership, licence permissions, contractual consent and any privacy obligations with the appropriate professionals and platforms. This list is not a transfer agreement or legal opinion.
